Functional Capacity Evaluation (FAE)

We Provide Functional Capacity Evaluation Assessments & Diagnostics

A Functional Capacity Evaluation (FAE) is a thorough assessment designed to measure an individual’s physical abilities and readiness for work. It evaluates strength, endurance, mobility, and functional performance to determine how safely and effectively a person can perform job-related tasks. FAEs are commonly used for return-to-work planning, injury rehabilitation, or insurance and compensation purposes.

Functional Capacity Evaluations can assess:

  • Lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling capabilities

  • Range of motion, flexibility, and joint function

  • Endurance and stamina for physical tasks

  • Balance, coordination, and posture

  • Job-specific or daily functional abilities

After the evaluation, clients receive a detailed report outlining findings, recommendations, and any work restrictions. This information helps employers, healthcare providers, and insurers make informed decisions about rehabilitation, workplace accommodations, and safe return-to-work planning. FAEs provide clarity, safety, and confidence for both the client and their support team.
